872 Morton Street, Mattapan

Morton Street Village is an apartment complex with community space reserved for occupancy by individuals with an income ranging between 30% and 100% of the median income of the Boston area.

CICD, in partnership with Boston’s Planning Office for Urban Affairs, won a City of Boston Department of Neighborhood Development’s contract for the acquisition and development of two parcels of land at 872 Morton Street and Hopkins Street. Both parcels have been vacant since the demolition of the Boston Police Department’s Precinct 3 Building in 2013. The proposed development is located across the street from the Morton Street Commuter Rail Station (Fairmount Line).

The development includes 40 residential units, 8,000 square feet of open space for the Steven P. Odom Serenity Garden and a 1,500 square-foot Community Room that will be available for use by both residents of the building and members of the community. The target completion date is Fall 2022.
